Set up your CLEATUS account in minutes

Updated today

This guide will walk you through the step-by-step onboarding process so you can start finding, bidding, and winning government contracts in just 5–10 minutes.

What You Need Before You Start:

Basic company information (Legal Name, Address, Website)
Capability Statement (PDF or DOCX format)
NAICS Codes (Industry Classification)

💡 You can update your entity information anytime after onboarding in the Entity Info section under Profile Settings.

Step 1: Create Your Account

🔹 Sign up for a CLEATUS account at cleat.ai/signup.
🔹 Start your 7-day free trial

Step 2: Complete Your Business Information

CLEATUS can import your business details from SAM.gov if you enter your UEI Code.
🔹 Don’t have your UEI or need help? Check out [this guide].

Or manually enter your details:

  • Legal Business Name

  • Website

  • Business Address

  • CAGE Code (optional)

  • Entity Start & Registration Dates

  • Certifications (LLC, HUBZone, SDVOSB, etc.)

💡 Why is this important?
Providing accurate certifications and business details allows CLEATUS to match you with the best contract opportunities tailored to your capabilities.

Step 3: Upload Your Capability Statement

Your Capability Statement helps CLEATUS understand your strengths, expertise, and past performance.

💡 Don’t have one? Use CLEATUS’s free Capability Statement Builder to create a professional, tailored document in minutes.

Optional: Upload Additional Documents

To improve your contract matches and proposal quality, you can upload:

📌 Org Charts (Showcase company structure & capacity)
📌 Resumes (Highlight key personnel expertise)
📌 Past Performance Reports (Prove previous contract successes)
📌 Methodologies/Process Docs (Outline execution strategies)
📌 Pricing Sheets (Provide historical pricing or rates if applicable)

Supported file formats: PDF, DOCX

Step 4: Configure Your Bid/No-Bid Strategy

Refine your contract recommendations by defining:

“Deal Makers” (Bid Conditions)

  • What makes an opportunity attractive? (e.g., contract size, preferred regions, specific project scopes)

“Deal Breakers” (No-Bid Conditions)

  • What disqualifies an opportunity? (e.g., requiring specific certifications you don’t have, high project value outside your range)

Step 5: Add Past Performances

Strengthen your profile by adding details on past government contracts. CLEATUS will fetch your federal awards automatically if you enter your UEI code. Alternatively, you can enter your private, local, and state awards manually.

📌 Description (Project details & outcomes)
📌 Awarding Agency (Which government entity awarded the contract?)
📌 NAICS Codes (Relevant industry classification codes)
📌 Place of Performance (Where the work was performed)
📌 Award Amount (Contract value)

💡 Why is this important?
Adding past performances boosts your credibility and improves your chances of winning new contracts.
